Remember Us, O Lord, As You Favor Your People

The psalm “Remember us, O Lord, as you favor your people” is a part of Psalm 106, which recounts the history of God’s people from Egypt to the Promised Land. The psalmist confesses the sins and rebellions of his ancestors, who forgot God’s deeds and tested his patience. He also praises God’s mercy and faithfulness, who saved them from their enemies and delivered them from their troubles. He asks God to remember him and his people, and to grant them his salvation and favor. He also vows to thank God and to tell of his wonderful works. He ends the psalm by asking God to gather his scattered people from among the nations, and to bless them with his inheritance.

Remember God’s favor to his people, and to ask him to remember us in our need.

Ask Yourself

How can I show my gratitude and faithfulness to God, who has done great things for me?
