Keep Me Safe, O God; You Are My Hope

Have you ever felt completely lost and alone?

Psalm 16 offers solace. The psalmist pleads with God for protection, declaring unwavering trust. He finds joy and confidence by keeping God at the center.  Because of this devotion, the psalmist believes he will not be abandoned after death.  He expresses a deep longing for the eternal life and happiness found in God’s presence.

This psalm is a beautiful reminder that true security comes from placing our faith in God.  Despite challenges, we can find joy and peace by keeping Him close.  With God by our side, we can even face death with a sense of hope.

Remember that your true hope and happiness lie in your relationship with God.

Ask Yourself

How well do I truly keep God at the center of my life, especially during difficult times?

Let Us Pray

Loving God, help us to trust in You completely and find the strength and joy that come from Your presence. Amen.
