If You, O Lord, Mark Iniquities, Who Can Stand?

This verse can feel scary – if God kept a record of every mistake, none of us would be okay. But the good news is, this isn’t the whole story. It highlights the amazing power of God’s forgiveness. Even though we mess up, He offers a chance to start anew, a chance to learn and grow. It doesn’t mean consequences disappear, but it means we don’t have to carry the weight of guilt forever.

Remember that God chooses love and forgiveness over keeping score.

Ask Yourself

Am I more focused on fearing punishment or experiencing God’s love and grace? Do I believe forgiveness is truly possible, even for me?

Let Us Pray

Loving God, help me understand the depth of Your forgiveness. Teach me to focus on Your love and grace, and not live in fear of my mistakes. Amen.
